Pak judicial panel lists queries for witnesses
The first judicial commission which visited India in March was only allowed to record the statement of four witnesses but not allowed to cross-examine them. Among the witnesses were also the judicial magistrate who recorded the statement of Ajmal Kasab.
The Pakistan trial court had rejected the findings of the first commission terming the report had no “evidential value” as it was not allowed to cross-examine the four witnesses. The court also directed the commission to seek fresh visit to India.
Apart from the judicial magistrate, Pakistan has also provided the names of the investigating officer of the 26/11 case and two doctors who conducted the autopsy of the nine terrorists killed during the operation on November 26, 2008, for cross examination by the judicial commission.
